Went there 11am with meng and richard cast till 2pm still nothing. Around 215pm hock li, alan, nick and ah hui join us. Rickster friend was next 2us was using live prawn, almost 3pm ( b4 i left) fish start biting, they landed 2 barra. Meng was unhappy with the result so gimme a call at 845pm wanna revenge, so i decided to have my dinner there n continue fishing, we cast till 11pm still nothing so sayonara. The pondok next 2us bottom fishing manage to land 2 barra . I think the fish getting less already not as frenzy as soft opening that time. |

He caught all those in just a span of about 2hours...from about about 4pm. Shall be trying those soft plastics, the next time round. Ciao! |

Popper n sinking lures (bright colour) works well at night but with slow retreiving, fast retreive don't take, maybe due to low tide depth estimated 3ft max, was told high tide approx 10ft in depth. I was right their concept from SEMPORNA. The owner owned a fish farm behind the restaurant, all fishes from his floating cage,he taking care of resort and his bro-in-law (philippine) take care of pay pond, guess my luck tonight met both of them and have a chance to chat with them . . |

Price per Kg $9.00 BETTER bring your own light tackles as the ones available for rental and sale there are way too heavy for those fishes. I was still on leave till today so decided to check out the place. Brought my light gears and few small floating lures. First few casts, nothing so decided to change lure. WHAM!!! My lure was hit by a selungsung which gave quite a good fight. It was brougt up in a few mins time with the help of the pond guardian. It turned out to be a 1.4kg fish. Few more hits but no hook-ups so decided to finish the session. brought it back home and decided to steam it with garlic, ginger, spring onion, chilli for dinner. Sure was GOOD! |

The resort is quite impressive and have 15 well furnished rooms. It boast 2 swimming pool (his and hers), a conference room and a spa. It also have a big restaurant capable of holding around 400 people. The are lots of LCD TVs around the restaurant for those who likes to watch TV which eating. They serve live crabs and fish fresh from their pond at reasonable price. The double bed room rate is $128.00 (current price). The only problem with the restaurant is that they are still learning the ropes (having open just 3 days). So expect some mistakes from the staff. The cook is from Thailand so it would be a good idea to order Thai food. I think this resort have great potential and should do well if properly managed. Their fishing pond is a short walk from the restaurant and you can park your cars near the entrance of the fishing pond. The pond is stocked with Barramundi(Selunsong), Tarpon (bulan bulan) and grouper (kerapu). The operator explains that fish stock will change depending on supply and demand. They charge $3 for entry (regardless if you are fishing or not). Add $1 if you use your own fishing gear or $5 if you used theirs. In other words, if you are fishing with your own gear, you pay a total of $4.00. The fish caught can be purchased at $8/kg (promotion price) or can be released back into the pond. |
