Went with 4 other anglers using a private chartered boat deciding to do some bottom fishing, popping and jigging. Left jerudong beach at 3pm and the wind which was calm earlier on started to pick up slowly. Deciding to head towards KB offshore area, we stopped at a few spots to do bottom fishing. As the swells got worst, we decide to head to a safe spot at 8pm and tied up the boat. I tried popping for GT's and languran but the swell made it very difficult for me to stand up and popped properly. No strikes at all on chuggers, stickbaits and pencil popper.
On my first drop of my apollo rig i landed a 3kg berahan. The water temperature got worst and it started to rain with strong winds (very cold) with swells makin it difficult to fish. I landed a Ungah which weigh at 2.4kg. Azmey landed a ungah almost at 5kg and a 1kg plus Tawih. The current kept changing positions and we had difficulty in positioning the boat in safety. 2 of the anglers got seasick and slept almost the whole trip. It rained from 10pm till the next day at 8am. During those period, i had to stay awake as the rest was feeling wet,very cold so they decide to get some sleep. I lost a few hookups which broke my suspected to be GTs.
At 6am i woke everybody up as i know this will be the GT frenzy time as i tabur and decide to do some jigging. 3 strikes but i didnt get to strike my hook real hard and the fish threw the hook. We plan to head towards KB's dropoff but the weather doesnt look good and we decide not to take the risk. Rest of the day till 5pm, we fish at reefs from kb to tutong. Size of catches was good and combined between 3 anglers, almost 1 large commercial box was filled up with ungah's, mambangan, barahan, krisi bali, awat awat, grouper and lots more.
