Maybe we should transfer the title of "Ironman" from Tito to Languran. Bringing up 15 AJ certainly needs a lot of stamina.

eh boss.dont angry..LOL. we thought the the trip would be cancelled. My bro and I, really insist to go because we are not sure when would be our next opportunity. Going on thursday night was also an awkward timing, this was due to work commitment of my brother and friends. going with only 5 people really dig deep into our pocket.

Jigging,
The best jig that day was JM jigs..i forgot the name but it is the one with the diamond shape. the current was just right to use 250g jig and initially i was using a PE 5 setup which was really fun and very easy to jig with that JM jig. almost 1 drop 1 fish..until my 6th AJ.. i take a break and change into my fisherman to ease the aching arms and back. i did bring my digicam but only manage to take few video clip due to busy being raided by our favourite drop off friend. Blue fox herring (pink) once again proved its effectivenes and my bro and fren managed to land 12 AJs in total.

To our newbie, squid hunter, you did bring luck with you. first trip manage to jig AJs' was a good experience.

that day we only manage to catch few kerisi and 2 ruby. probable the roaming AJs scared the others.

In general,
Jigging was far more effective that day and I think was due to the favourable current.Being able to use 250g jig enable us to vary the jig presentations easily and fast, which enable us to determine the favourable way to trigger the AJ interest against the bottom offerings. only few AJs are landed by bottom. To those to love jigging, yesterday was the day.

Capt,

Thank you for the early post Capt. Just came back at home got some office work this afternoon.....There’s a saying “a record is meant to be broken” - Indeed it was a great trip we ever had...5 anglers with 25 angry AJ's landed. There we have another new record for Apollo Trip @drop off early this year. – As of now. Previous record 21 AJ’s with 8-10anglers. Heaviest – 14-18kg’s smallest 7 KG; not really sure on the scale we need IGFA scale on board hehehe I mean handy IGFA scales Capt if you don’t mind. We knew you have one big one and digital…
5 TDOA – team drop off anglers
> Languran 15 AJ’s majority on Jigs + Bottom (his best record so far)
> Hj Roslan 6 AJ’s Jig & Bottom
> Kamarul 6 AJ’s Jig & Bottom
> Frazier (newbie) 2 AJ’s Jig & Bottom – 16” x 280gms = Squid (casting)
> Rickster 2 AJ’s Bottom (1 big AJ’s lend a helping hand)
And Red Rubys, Kirisis’, Skip Jack, Tuna etc.
At first we travelled last Thursday night with a group of 5 anglers - and off course with the great crews of Apollo Capt Noy, Chief Mate Jun & chef Val.>> promising weather?. The sea was flat along serasa area and everyone hope that it’s the same thing outside which is usually impossible u know what we mean. After muara channel wave was normal till we arrived at drop off about 4am.
I awake that time, Languran and his team prepares all their High end weapons. I saw 3 Stella’s, Zaltiga, twin power, fisherman rod and, jigs, u know this guys arzenal - full battle gearssss. We started a bit late and guess what? Our first descent AJ’s 7-8kg landed by our newbie Frazier squid hunter - my office mate. Then a few seconds everyone starts screaming double, triple and 5 hooks at a time…it seems we parked at the wrong side of drop off – the AJ’s playground. A Non-stop action with lots of misses due to lines broken, hook straightens; jig’s swallowed & lost because giant AJ’s forgot to throw out hahaha till almost noon time. A school of Tuna came about 2-3 kg a piece. Squid Hunter & Val prepares some TUNA SASHIMI on board APOLLO Style. Everyone LOVE’s “EAT”. Action stops after lunch and 3-4 hours of waiting game, we change location – 2nd spot dry not even a bite. Water is cold…next location…dry not even a bite..After the sun sets….Tuna came back and AJ’s hunting ground spotted..The heat is on..non –stop thrilling action…at 9pm Capt Nonoy advise to C&R coz fridge full, coolers full no place to keep…We decided to hunt for Rubys or Keratang but still its AJ play ground. Skip Jack came just a few minutes and their gone..Our frequent visitors came and greet us > the dolphins< when we saw numbers of dolphins around Apollo I told the team to get ready skip jack is just below us….Then the heat is On..Our favorite Jacks came to play and show their ability to swim ahead of the jigs and fly in front of the angler... Thrills stop for they were gone… Kamarul & Hj Roslan – after 3 drop off trips they got 6 playful AJ’s landed apiece. They want to break their record again..in months ahead.
Again Capt thank you for letting our team be on board Though Apollo scheduled for KK maintenance. We appreciate your kindness to all – “Fishin’ LoveRs”. An experienced to remember specially to newbies and AJ’s hunters, A wonderful trip with people on board a great time indeed. “A nEW ReCoRD” a great experienced. “ONE DROP ONE JIG ONE AJ”

Only 5 anglers went on the Apollo this trip. A very private trip with lots of room for everyone. Don't have the detailed report yet but over 20 Amberjack landed along with other fish including Tuna, Kerisi, Ruby and Grouper.

Rickster/Languran,
Please share with us your catch report. Thanks.
