hahahhaaha,

as i've said when ever u use baitcaster u have freeee beehon goreng....not easi to use but wen u get use to it it will be more relax and enjoy to cast..
Yup Capt,
2 hit wid d new rod and reel......and new line and new cheap-cheap spinning lures..remember B$1.60 spinner lures it works wid 2 hits in less than a 3 minutes.....CNR shud practice though it is not easy to accept by other fisherman....thats why we need CNN to let them know why we need to let go those fish sometimes...specially when the catch is toooo poor we have to release them when oevr population then we start to enjoy them.....hopefully we can still go back and enjoy fishin ...

I heard you caught the Dalak with your new Shimano baitcaster. Well done. Also must congratulate you on your C&R action.
For me, both baitcasting and spinning are fine in that situation. But for river float fishing, I prefer using a baitcaster.

I still think i prefer to stick to spinner combo. Come to think of it, spinner reels come in sizes from 500 to 4000 for light casting while most baitcasting reel are almost the same size. As for accuracy, i believe the spinning reel will not be left out comparing to the baitcasting reel. Even in distance i believe both reel have the same comparism as it depends on the weight of your lures and ofcourse the line weight of your rod. Ofcos a baitcasting setup would be lighter then the spinning setup but then my spinning setups arent that heavy at all and i could cast all day and night with it..hehehe

Aiyah. Do worry lah. Clicker, I can fix for you today lah...But what is the fuss about a clicker? It is only for sound and have no other functionalities in the Sienna. That sound too is only when you spool is turning when a big fish pulls out line. For Dalak no sound lah. Got clicker or not no diff.
Exchange your reel with Oro tomorrow. Then even less problem, reel guarantee no need to make sound because he surely karate.Hehe.

Aiya, i know u expert already in using baitcast reel, plus ur combo with sabel dance some more. Im thinkin of getting a baitcaster but scared its too late cos freshwater season might end soon. The callisto is not goin to be done soon and i have yet to search through my store to see whats the other baitcast reel. Too bad my boss revo become magic (if you get what i mean), or else surely become mine already.. So for the mean time i stick to spinning rod and reel.

I used baitcast, owned a Penn Int 965. Long time didn't cast, might get some bee-hoon. But couple of session practise can be easy to adjust.

I'm more interested in ~~~how many anglers here owned baitcaster reel, any brand can do, maybe can find one day cast together.

I feel baitcaster more accuracy, easier to cast and control than spinning. Yes, goreng bihun is a big problem for newbies but once you get used to it like eating peanut, am i right Mr. Dogfight? Long time no news from u2......

For the past topics i have read about debates on Baitcasting & Spinning but so far it has only been on Deep sea fishing.

So i would like to raise topics and comments for freshwater anglers on which of these reel they favour. Ofcourse my friend Mr Omorichimaru would be the first to favour on his baitcasting set of a Sabel Dance & Abu Garcia Revo.

Me, on the other hand is still fond on my spinning sets as i have yet to find the appropiate Baitcasting set to win my vote on this one. So anyone else to comment on these two setups and why?
